Though slightly smaller, this depiction of Indians watering their horses is almost identical in composition to several other paintings titled Scene on “Big Sandy” River (CR# 287, CR# 438, CR# 438A). The Big Sandy River is located in the Green River drainage in present-day southwestern Wyoming.
